ABOUT EMc2 ARCHITECTURE

Architecture is a form of expression that should emerge around the user's daily needs without disruption of their usual routine. It should deliver a sense of energy yet tranquility at the same time. As architects, it is our responsibility to generate a structure that will harvest these feelings when admired publicly.

EMc2 Architecture, creates timelessness and reflects upon culture, environment, location and climate. Our designs evolve from the “problem solving” process by the collaborative effort approach in which diverse thoughts, from the architect, client, user, and community come together as a team and form a sense of harmony towards a successful finale.

As our ecosystem continues to deteriorate due to uncaring use of our natural resources, we emphasize sustainable methods to increase natural life and a healthier environment. We feel that social and cultural interaction through well planned urbanism provides the key to quality of life and encourages a healthier economy and life style. As architects we carry the responsibility to design for the safety and well-being of others, but at the same time instill “delight” in the built environment.

About us...

Edward McCormick was the father of Bridget and Lisa. He re-located to El Paso, Texas where the sun always shines and construction takes place year round. His love and passion for his work in architecture led him to registration in sixteen states.  The teaching of architecture and his love of art led him to be the recipient of numerous regional and national awards.

Edward passed away in 2017 at which point his daughters, Lisa McCormick Eveleth and Bridget McCormick Lackey took over full ownership fulfilling the duties of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Bridget and Lisa sold McCormick Architecture in 2020. Bridget McCormick Lackey, Lisa McCormick Eveleth, along with designer, Gonzalo Gonzalez then created EMc2 Architecture in honor of Edward McCormick's name. Edward was a cherished member of society with memberships and active roles in the City of El Paso including starting a Texas Tech school of architecture chapter at the El Paso Community College.
